SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

In an effort to better protect the users of the Pike County Recreation Complex, the Pike County Recreation Authority (PCRA) has adopted a new Severe Weather Policy.

Pike County Recreational Complex PlaygroundNEW PLAYGROUND IS NOW OPEN!

The PCRA has ordered the first ever playground for the recreational complex to be enjoyed by the children of Pike County. The GameTime play structure includes a Spiral Slide, Rumble & Roll Zip Slide, Giant Wave Climber, Rock Wall Climber, Driver's Enclosure Panel, Toad Stool Climber, Gizmo Single Panel with Click Wheel Gizmo, Nature Panel and More. The playground also has 2 Belt Swings, an Enclosed Tot Swing and an Adaptive Swing for Special Needs. The playground is bordered by an 8" Playcurb, including an Accessible Playcurb. The safety surfacing used is Engineered Wood Fiber. We hope that all the children and adults enjoy this great addition to our park.

PIKE COUNTY CHEERLEADING ASSOCIATION

The Pike County Cheerleading Association will be holding registration for ages 5-12 on Saturday, May 31st from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Monday, June 2nd from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pike County Recreation Complex. The registration fee is $100.00 per child with a $10.00 sibling discount. The age cutoff date is August 1st. Please make checks payable to Pike County Cheerleading Association. Practices will begin the 2nd week of August. For more information please call Bonnie Mathews at (770) 468-1517.

PIKE COUNTY YOUTH FOOTBALL

The Pike County Youth Football Association will be holding registration for ages 5-12 on Saturday, July 26th and Saturday, August 2nd & 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pike County Recreation Complex. The fee is $100.00 per player with a $10.00 sibling discount. Each age division will play tackle football. The age cutoff date is August 31st. SPRING BASEBALL

Opening day was held Saturday, March 22nd. The day stated with a parade (see photos below) followed by opening ceremonies and a lot of great baseball. The weather was great and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time at the ball park. SPRING SOCCER

SPRING SOFTBALL

Opening day was held Saturday, March 22nd. The day started with the annual parade (see photos below) followed by opening ceremonies and a great day of softball. CHALLENGER BRITISH SOCCER CAMP

The Pike County Recreation Authority will be hosting several Challenger British Soccer Camps the week of June 16-20, 2008 for ages 3-18. For more information, visit the Challenger British Soccer Camp League web page or call the recreation authority at (770) 567-2027.
